Gilgal Retreat at Harry James Creek

Gilgal Retreat is a beautiful private retreat house located on Harry James Creek with amazing water views and stunning grounds resting in a peaceful waterfront setting.

The house’s mission is to provide a retreat for ministry, whether it be a church retreat, a pastor’s getaway, or a church’s Women’s or Men’s Retreat.  Another mission of Gilgal Retreat is to give back and bless the community of St. Mary’s County, which is a relatively small and rural county with a strong community.  Young Life has had a presence in the community for close to 20 years, with Young Life Clubs in middle schools and high schools.

There is a cost for cleaning services for Gilgal Retreat after each stay.  In lieu of paying the cleaning fee directly, we invite you to share in the mission of giving back and blessing the community in the form of a suggested tax-deductible donation of $400 for the first night and $200 for each additional night to Young Life St. Mary’s County.  Your giving will make a difference to build a sustainable foundation in the community, to develop relationships with the schools, to support, train, and encourage volunteer leaders through the ministry of Young Life.
